I'm thankful for today, not because it's Thanksgiving, but because today is a good day. I've lived both in comfort and extreme poverty, in health and incredible illness, and in both lonliness and profound companionship--"I'm thankful for today" is not just rhetoric to me; it really means something.
Today, I'm thankful for my close family and friends, my health, and for the books I've written. None may be perfect, but they are all very dear to me.
So, today through December 1, 2010, I'm asking you to leave a short note telling others why "I'm thankful for today" is not just rhetoric to you, either. I will choose one winner for every ten entries to receive a paperback copy of Pandora's Hope. Have a great day!
